“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are” – Anaïs Nin
NAME: Marii
I’m a 27-year-old professional photographist and an artist from Estonia.
I’ve been interested in photography since kindergarten (approx. over 20 years). As I took my first steps and grew up with videotape recorders, I reached the stages of still-life, macro and nature in an early age. Since then, I have been loyally dedicated to people –
sometimes stories are best told in portraits.
My experience involves Canon cameras, Elinchrom and Phottix products (such as Speedlight flashes YN560-II alongside with softboxes, reflectors, umbrellas), LED light solutions, retouching and working with colours. I have undergone at least 8 different photography courses and gained tips mainly from photographers such as Viktor Koshkin, Kristjan Lepp and Aivar Pihelgas.
I also envy the determination of Michael Oswald, Andrzej Dragan and Erwin Olaf.
The only thing I am for sure is unsure. Am I a photographer or a digital artist?
I’ll leave that for You to decide. ♥
